Hi-Sync opens up the world of flash photography to explore even further

Elinchrom Hi-Sync technology lets you go beyond the X-Sync of your camera. Photographers can simply switch to Hi-Sync mode and access sync speeds up to 1/8000s to freeze motion, overpower the sun, darken backgrounds or use a wider aperture. The new ODS (Over Drive Sync) enables users to fine tune the Transmitter Pro transmitter’s trigger signal to optimize exposure at high shutter speeds while gaining up to 2 more f-stops of light.

The Transmitter Pro has 20 frequency channels that can be used for either Normal or Speed mode. The transmitter attaches easily and securely to the hotshoe with its one-touch quick-lock mechanism, and is powered by 2x AA batteries. It also features an integrated AF Illuminator for faster focusing and a mini-USB socket for firmware updates. Users can instantly distinguish what sync mode they are in as the backlit display glows green for normal sync mode, and red for speed sync mode. They can also enjoy a range of up to 656ft (200m) outdoors, and up to 196ft (60m) indoors.

Elinchrom Rotalux 90x110 cm is a professional softbox designed for use in photography and video production. This softbox is part of the Elinchrom Rotalux series, which is renowned for its excellent light quality, durability, and ease of use. Rotalux recta softboxes are useful for general purpose photography like portraits and product photography. Because of their shape and size, they provide flexibility in placement. The easy mounting Rotalux system is probably the most widely copied of all Softbox systems. However, it is easier to copy a design than a quality and they remain the best units in their class.

Unique deflectors

What continues to make the Elinchrom units unique are the sets of deflectors – gold, silver and translucent that enable the softness / hardness and colour to be modified; fitting centrally over the flashtube at your chosen distance. Folding down like an umbrella, they are easily transported, or just kept clean in their included carrying bag. Elinchrom Rotalux

Elinchrom's Rotalux system is probably the most imitated softbox design in the world due to its simple and clever construction. It's easy to replicate the design, but much harder to replicate the quality, which sets Elinchrom Rotalux apart.

Extremely Even Light Distribution

Just like all of Elinchrom's lighting tools, the geometry of Rotalux softboxes is precisely tailored to the focal length and light pattern of all Elinchrom studio flash units. These characteristics, along with double diffusion panels, provide the exceptionally even light that Elinchrom softboxes are known for.

Rotalux Speedring (sold separately)

The heart of Rotalux softboxes is the patented Rotalux mounting system, which allows the softbox to be rotated within the holder. Rotalux Speedrings are designed to make both assembly and use extremely easy.
They can be quickly and easily folded like an umbrella for transport in a compact bag. The Rotalux Speedring is (not included) compatible with most flash brands on the market, allowing the softboxes to be mounted directly on other flash brands without any additional adapters. Both outer and inner diffusion panels are included as standard. Simply by removing one or two diffusion panels, the character of the light changes.

Deflector Set

Thanks to the centrally positioned umbrella holder on Elinchrom, Rotalux softboxes can be combined with Deflectors. The different materials in the deflector set create various light characteristics and can be used in combination with diffusion panels or, if a harder light is desired, in a softbox without diffusion panels.

Hooded Diffuser

With the recessed outer diffusion panel, control over the light is increased as the black edges shield the light spread and provide a faster transition to shadow. Perfect when, for example, you want to prevent the light from the softbox from hitting the background.
