The Colorama Rolleasy is an exceptionally robust, professional studio background support system which can be wall or ceiling mounted.
With Colorama RollEasy, the handling of background paper, with a width of up to 3.55 meters, becomes smooth and easy. The RollEasy system is built to withstand the weight of the wide paper backgrounds and vinyl backgrounds. The clever system of cranking the background rollers means that the heavy rollers are handled with ease.
To accommodate RollEasy in combination with background paper with a width of 3.55 metres, the room needs to be around four meters wide. The ceiling height should ideally be about 3 meters or more. If they are located a doorway to the side, the depth to the back wall from the door frame should preferably be 50-60 cm. If RollEasy is to be used in combination with background paper or vinyl with a width of 2.72 metres, a space with a width of just over 3 meters is required.
There are two types of attachment for RollEasy background support, on the ceiling or on the wall. If the ceiling height is suitable and there are studs to fasten to, or if it is a concrete ceiling, the ceiling bracket can be used with advantage. If the ceiling height is high or if the ceiling is not suitable for ceiling mounting, the wall bracket is used.If RollEasy is to be mounted on a wall with e.g. a door, it is good if the backgrounds hang a bit out into the room. In these cases, you usually combine the roof bracket with a strong angle bracket made of steel (purchased in a hardware store or another supplier).
Each paper background with size 3.55x30 meters weighs approx. 22 kg each and vinyl background with size 3.55x9 meters weighs 16 kg. If you have e.g. 3 pieces of background paper, the weight will be approx. 75 kg with the boom inserted into the paper core, which means that attachment to the ceiling or wall must withstand the weight without giving way. If it is a concrete wall or ceiling, there is usually no problem, but if it is wallboard made of wood or plaster, a wooden plate must be installed, which is attached to the joists of the wall or ceiling. The RollEasy bracket can then be mounted in the wooden plate.
Colorama RollEasy is by far the most stable system for supporting background paper and vinyl backgrounds on walls or ceilings. The advantages are many:
